Engineered specifically for LightBurn laser cutting and engraving software. GearDXF exports continuous closed-path vectors that LightBurn loads instantly as single closed cut shapes with zero duplicate lines, open loops, or stuttering node clusters.
Many CAD tools export gear curves as hundreds of disjointed line segments. LightBurn must process every endpoint, slowing down the laser head. GearDXF exports smooth, continuous polylines for fast, flawless cutting.
Both work flawlessly. SVGs preserve clean visual colors and layers, while DXFs maintain strict absolute millimeter dimensions with CAD-level precision.
You can either apply your kerf offset directly in LightBurn (under Cut Settings > Kerf Offset) or adjust the backlash slider in GearDXF before exporting.
